- No sooner … than; Hardly/Scarcely … when. These pairings are fixed.
- so + adjective + that → result clause; such + noun + that → result clause.
- "Unless" already means "if not", so the clause after it stays positive.
- "So that" introduces purpose and takes may/might/can/could.
- First conditional: If + present simple → will/shall + base verb.
- Check that the subject of the completing clause agrees with the opening clause.
