Q.Tell me about yourself.+

Keep it to 60–90 seconds: a one-line intro (who you are / your degree), 2–3 relevant strengths or projects, and why you’re excited about this role. Focus on what’s relevant to the job — not your life story.

Q.Why should we hire you?+

Match your top 2–3 skills to the role’s needs and back each with a quick example. End with your enthusiasm to contribute and grow. Example: “I bring strong React skills, I ship fast, and I learn quickly — as I showed by building X.”

Q.What are your strengths and weaknesses?+

Give a real strength with proof, then a genuine weakness you’re actively improving (with the concrete steps you’re taking). Avoid clichés like “I’m a perfectionist.”

Q.Where do you see yourself in 5 years?+

Show ambition aligned with the company: growing into a senior/specialist role, taking on more responsibility, and continuously upskilling. Avoid unrealistic or unrelated goals.

Q.Why do you want to work here?+

Reference something specific: the company’s products, mission, tech stack or growth. Connect it to your goals. This proves you researched them and aren’t mass-applying.

Q.Tell me about a time you faced a challenge.+

Use the STAR method — Situation, Task, Action, Result. Pick a real example, focus on your actions, and quantify the result. Keep it under two minutes.

Q.How do you handle criticism?+

Say you welcome feedback as a way to improve, give an example where feedback made your work better, and show you don’t take it personally.

Q.Do you have any questions for us?+

Always say yes. Ask about the team, what success looks like in the first 90 days, growth opportunities, or the tech/process. Never ask only about salary or leave.
