Skills you'll use

What you'll do

• Own and drive the technical roadmap for the Data Engineering team, planning and delivering on a quarterly basis
• Execute product plans and manage delivery commitments with a strong focus on quality and timelines
• Architect and build scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and infrastructure components aligned with 12-factor app principles
• Design and implement robust data warehouses and data strategies for SaaS products
• Define clear quarterly goals for the team and guide execution to achieve measurable outcomes
• Mentor engineers and help them deliver to the best of their abilities
• Set clear career paths for team members and support their professional growth
• Lead technical discussions and help engineers make critical architectural and design decisions
• Partner closely with the Product team to develop and curate the data and platform roadmap

Who can apply

• 8+ years of software development experience with 2+ years of engineering leadership experience
• Strong architecture and system design skills with experience building large-scale web services
• Hands-on experience designing and developing backend systems, data pipelines, and infrastructure components
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, especially AWS
• Experience designing and building data warehouses
• Experience in defining and executing a Data Strategy for SaaS products
• Strong technical leadership with the ability to drive critical technical discussions
• Even better if you have
• Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, and related data technologies
• Experience with Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and modern deployment technologies
