What you'll do

• "This role is responsible for driving the engineering execution of research and development programs for Eaton’s Data Center portfolio. The incumbent will actively contribute to the Energy & Cooling technology roadmap and drive the creation of high-performance solutions for next-generation data centers. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, providing innovative thermal engineering solutions to the semiconductor industry. The position is responsible for the mechanical design, development, testing, documentation, and manufacturing process implementation of new products, as well as supporting products already deployed in the field
• "Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) is looking for a Senior Engineer – Data Center (Mechanical & Thermal) focused on Data Center Thermal Research to develop advanced cooling and thermal management technologies. This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune.

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with 4–6 years of experience in a technical engineering role
• Experience with CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, tight tolerance components, etc.
• Experience with closed-loop refrigeration systems, pneumatic actuation, automation, thermocouples, RTDs, power supplies, fans, and thermoelectric coolers is a plus
• Proficient in CAD/3D solid modeling tools – SolidWorks 2018 or newer preferred
• Develop cooling solutions such as Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs), rear-door heat exchangers & manifolds, hot aisle containment systems, chillers, and facility water systems
• Evaluate and develop new cooling technologies for future data center products
• Collaborate with global partners, customers, and cross-functional Eaton teams to deliver innovative, efficient, and reliable cooling systems
• Ensure close integration of designs with mechanical and electrical engineering teams for safe, optimized end-to-end system performance"
