What you'll do

• Design and development of Cabs and its components for locomotive application using sound Engineering principles, adhering to business standards/ processes and as per program requirements.
• Develop concepts and evaluate, identify risks and mitigation plans to address them.
• Take the design through technical reviews. Document the technical data consistent with Engineering policies and quality procedures.
• Provide shop support for in-house manufacturing and address supplier/field issues.
• Interfacing with cross functional stakeholders across the organization.
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
• Participate in organizational initiatives and team activities.
• Participate in Design review process involving Cross functional to review design scope, Design intent & design output.

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Or Equivalent
• Working experience in the Mechanical design light fabrication area.
• Expertise in structural design ownership with affinity for calculation of material strength/Fatigue, bolted joint, welded joint etc.
• Knowledge of FEA is added advantage.
• Ability in navigating UG/Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of Light & heavy structural designs.
• Knowledge of Product Life Cycle Management.
• Basic knowledge of ASME Y14.5M, GD&T, Tolerance stack up & AWS spec’s.
• Sound knowledge of DFMA & DFM.
• Good communication and Presentation skills.
