What you'll do

• As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be an integral part of this transformation. You will be solving challenging business problems and building highly scalable and available applications that provide an excellent user experience. Reporting to the Engineer Manager, you will be required to develop solutions using available tools and technologies and assist the engineering team in problem resolution by hands-on participation, effectively communicating status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
• Tackle interesting challenges such as working with scalable solutions, handling large amounts of data, and working with a fully automated pipeline for continuous integration and deployment.
• Work with several technologies and languages – Java, Spring, Terraform, Docker, AWS (RDS Aurora, S3, ECS and more).
• Work within a collaborative high-performance team of developers, testers (for test automation), support engineers and more, geographically spread across our different locations – UK, Poland, France, India and Brazil.
• Implement new functionality in close cooperation with the team and users.
• Engage in peer design and code reviews.
• Maintain test coverage
• We are looking for someone who can design, document, and implement new systems, as well as enhancements and modifications to existing software with code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java best practices.
• Have 5+ years of experience with hands-on experience working in Java 8 platform or higher and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field required.
• Experience with Docker and containerization
