Interview & Selection Process

4 rounds — typical selection flow for this role:

1Online Application Screening — the recruitment team at Google reviews your resume, projects and GitHub/portfolio for fit with a full-stack developer internship.
2Online Coding / Technical Assessment — a timed test covering programming fundamentals, data structures, problem solving and basic React/Node.js/Express.js questions.
3Technical Interview — a live discussion of your projects and a hands-on coding/full-stack round (frontend + backend + database concepts) on React on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.
4Second Technical / System Design Round — deeper full-stack problem solving, API design, database modelling and code walkthrough with a senior engineer.
5HR / Managerial Discussion — a conversation about your interests, availability, learning goals and the internship offer with Google.
