What you'll do

Write production-quality code in Java and the Spring framework under engineering mentorship
Build and integrate REST APIs for Pearson's learning and assessment platforms
Contribute to backend and full-stack features using Node.js and relational databases
Write unit tests and help debug, monitor and improve existing services
Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews and team collaboration
Apply object-oriented design patterns and good engineering practices
Document work and present progress to the team

Who can apply

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT or Engineering
Working knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming
Familiarity with REST API concepts and relational databases
Exposure to Node.js or JavaScript is a plus
Understanding of data structures, algorithms and design patterns
Good problem-solving and debugging ability
Strong communication and willingness to learn
