What you'll do

• Application Framework / SDUI – enabling product teams to build configurable, scalable, and consistent product experiences.
• Design System – powering reusable primitives, patterns, and guardrails across Rippling products.
• Frontend Infrastructure – evolving Rippling’s web architecture for scale, performance, and independent product delivery.
• Performance and Product Experience – raising the quality bar across product surfaces.
• AI-native Developer Experience – building infrastructure that helps engineers and AI agents write, validate, and ship production-quality code more reliably.
• We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Frontend-Fullstack to join Rippling’s UI Platform team.
• This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is strong in frontend engineering, comfortable working across the stack, and excited about building platform systems that are used by many product teams.
• In this role, you will work on Rippling’s Application Framework / Server Driven UI platform , helping product teams build and integrate scalable, configuration-driven user experiences. You will partner with engineers, designers, product managers, and platform stakeholders across the company to solve high-leverage problems that improve how Rippling products are built and shipped.

Who can apply

• 6–9 years of professional software engineering experience , preferably with strong frontend/platform/product engineering exposure.
• Strong hands-on experience building complex frontend applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React .
• Solid understanding of frontend architecture, component design, state management, performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience building reusable UI systems, internal platforms, frontend infrastructure, or developer-facing frameworks.
• Comfortable working fullstack, with backend exposure in areas such as APIs, services, data modeling, schemas, configuration systems, or platform integrations.
• Ability to independently own well-defined to moderately ambiguous projects from design through execution, launch, and iteration.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially when working with multiple product teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Good product and design sensibility; able to balance platform consistency with product flexibility.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and high ownership.
• Practical exposure to AI tools, AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, orchestration, or automation is strongly preferred.
