• Proactive Technical Leadership & Customer Value
• Strategic Technical Guidance: Partner as the technical counterpart to Customer Success Managers (CSMs) across mid-market and enterprise account portfolios, translating complex customer requirements into tangible business value.
• Architecture & Security Health Checks: Audit customer Okta configurations and deployment architectures to continuously strengthen security posture, accelerate feature adoption, and drive ROI as Okta releases new features.
• Retention & Health Acceleration: Track and influence key account health metrics, using technical insight to drive product usage, reduce friction, and prevent churn.
• High-Velocity Problem Solving
• Escalation & Technical Advisory: Address reactive technical inquiries and complex architectural blockers rapidly, breaking down multi-layered IAM challenges into simple, actionable steps.
• Executive & Stakeholder Alignment: Build trusted technical relationships with C-level executives, IT directors, architects, and developers, establishing credibility as Okta’s subject matter expert.
• Friction Elimination: Identify recurring implementation bottlenecks across your account portfolio and partner with Product and Engineering to streamline workflows for customer teams.
• Continuous Learning & Knowledge Enablement
• Product & Domain Expertise: Maintain deep, cutting-edge mastery across Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC), Customer Identity Solutions (CIS), and surrounding identity/security ecosystems.

Who can apply

• 5+ years of total experience in information technology, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) or comparable practitioner role in the IAM space
• Ability to work US Time Zone (preference)
• Familiarity with IAM solution providers is strongly desired.
• Strong background in any of the following: Technical Account Management, Technical Consulting, Solution Architect, Solutions Engineering, Product Management or similar role.
• Understanding of common software development practice. Understanding of identity and surrounding technologies.
• Strong business acumen, history of success owning enterprise segment customer relationships and escalations
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to set expectations and communicate goals and objectives with customers at various levels.
• Ability to track and influence customer behavior and health metrics across a portfolio of accounts
