Friday Media Group is hiring a passionate Software Engineer Intern (PHP & Java) to join its development team in Bengaluru. This is a hands-on, full-stack internship where you will work on real-world, live products using modern web technologies and frameworks — ideal for candidates eager to deepen their technical skills in a collaborative engineering environment. You will help develop and maintain web applications using PHP and the Symfony framework, implement and manage API integrations with third-party services, and collaborate with front-end developers and designers to build responsive, user-friendly interfaces with HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, AJAX and jQuery. You will also work with Git and Bitbucket, debug issues across the full web stack, follow coding best practices and write clean, well-documented code.

Skills you'll use

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and the Symfony framework
• Implement and manage API integrations with third-party services
• Build responsive interfaces with HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, AJAX and jQuery
• Work with Git and repositories such as Bitbucket
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the full web stack
• Follow coding best practices and contribute to team code reviews

Who can apply

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Good understanding of PHP and the Symfony framework
• Working knowledge of AJAX, HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket, API integration and RESTful services
• Bonus: Composer, Agile/Scrum exposure and unit testing
