What you'll do

• At Expedia, we develop next-generation technologies for which we have become world-renowned, and through which we are revolutionizing travel. We use top technology talent to innovate and build state of the art mobile and web applications. As a Mobile Engineer at Expedia, you will design and implement high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable solutions. You will work with the team to design, implement and iterate on features quickly and efficiently.  We’re looking for an engineer to work on mobile applications used by hundreds of thousands of our travelers and partners around the world and localized to multiple   languages.   Our   engineers   are   involved   in   every   aspect   of   the application lifecycle. We release our apps to production multiple times per month and measure how our applications perform, so we can keep improving our features and our underlying platform. • Design, develop, and test mobile application components and services under the guidance of more experienced engineers, contributing to well-scoped features and improvements across iOS and/or Android platforms.
• Implement clean, maintainable mobile code using standard software engineering practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and basic debugging, while following platform and framework best practices.
• Participate in low-level system design, API design, and data modeling for assigned mobile features, learning how to translate product and UX requirements into performant, reliable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with peers, mentors, designers, and cross-functional partners to understand requirements, break down work into incremental deliverables, and ensure a high-quality mobile user experience.
• Apply fundamental data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques to improve mobile app quality, performance, and reliability, including basic monitoring and issue resolution.
• Learn to work with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, including safely integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes within defined guidance and scope.

Who can apply

• Must be available to commit to the full program dates:
• APAC: May / June 2026
• Must be graduating with an undergraduate or master’s degree in a technical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology) between December 2027 and July 2028
• Must be willing to relocate to the city of the job location if outside commuting distance and be graduating from a university in the same country as the internship location.
• Must have no more than 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
