What you'll do

• Travel is so much more than simply reaching your destination. Along the journey, you'll utilize your technical skills to develop next-generation technologies through our web applications and e-commerce sites. You will be empowered to make an immediate impact by creating high-volume, scalable solutions and work with teams to iterate on features quickly and efficiently. From the back-end supply and database functions to new user interfaces for more than 140 branded travel sites, there is no shortage of opportunity for technical innovation at Expedia Group.
• Design, develop, and test software components and services under the guidance of more experienced engineers, contributing to well-scoped features and improvements.
• Implement clean, maintainable code using standard software engineering practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and basic debugging.
• Participate in low-level system design, API design, and data modeling for assigned tasks, learning how to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with peers, mentors, and cross-functional partners to understand requirements, break down work, and deliver incremental value.
• Apply fundamental data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques to improve code quality, performance, and reliability.
• Leverage AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows, including safely integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled solutions to improve outcomes within defined guidance and scope.

Who can apply

• Must be available to commit to the full program dates:
• APAC: May/June 2027
• Must be graduating with an undergraduate or master’s degree in a technical subject (e.g. e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology etc.) between December 2027 and July 2028
• Must be willing to relocate to the city of the job location if outside commuting distance and be graduating from a university in the same country as the internship location.
• Must have no more than 2 years of professional experience in a similar role and demonstrate familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language plus core computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented programming).
