What you'll do

• Handle and evacuate slag and skull (solidified slag) from pits to processing or dumping yards.
• Safety & Compliance
• Follow strict safety protocols when working around hot slag and water systems.
• Ensure slag dumping occurs in designated areas to avoid hazards.
• Organize and manage slag pit activities to meet production schedules.
• Supervise operators, technicians, and support staff during the shift.
• Ensure smooth slag evacuation and handling from furnaces.

Who can apply

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and dewatering equipment.
• Ability to work in high-temperature, industrial environments.
• Strong focus on safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain records of slag volumes, recovery rates, and shift activities.
• Prepare daily shift reports for management review.
• Track equipment usage and downtime.
• Assign tasks and monitor performance of shift staff.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to operators.
• Resolve operational issues and escalate major concerns to senior management.
•   Requires use of PPE and strict adherence to safety protocols.
