What you'll do

• In this role, you will have the opportunity to Optimizes the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.
• The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite
• As a Tooling Specialist, you will support for ABB India – Electrification, Smart Power Business to be based at Nelamangala – Bangalore.

Who can apply

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Tool & Die Making from reputed institutions such as NTTF, GTTC, CTTC, or equivalent tooling institutes; alternatively, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in press tool development, sheet metal component development, and tooling-related activities.
• Engineering Drawing Skills: Solid ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
• CAD & Modelling Skills: Practical experience in 3D solid modelling and AutoCAD, with the ability to support tooling and component development activities.
• Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with suppliers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
• Global Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with US and international teams across different time zones, while demonstrating effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Travel & Teamwork: Willingness to travel extensively across India and visit supplier locations to support tooling and component development, resolve issues, and ensure timely project completion; should work well with others.
