What you'll do

• Supervise day-to-day operation of generating units, substations and distribution lines.
• Plan and carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance on generators, transformers, switchgear and feeders.
• Monitor load, voltage, frequency and power factor, and keep grid parameters within limits.
• Test and maintain protection relays, breakers and metering systems.
• Supervise technicians and contractors, and make sure safety rules (LOTO, permit-to-work, PPE) are followed.
• Prepare daily generation and outage reports, and keep maintenance records.
• Coordinate with the load dispatch centre and support shutdowns, commissioning and new connections.
