What you'll do

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technical writer to join our Technical Publications team. In this role, you will create, manage, and maintain high-quality technical documentation that enables customers, partners, and internal teams to effectively use and understand HPE Networking products and solutions. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content that aligns with our commitment to innovation and customer success.

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, with demonstrated expertise in the networking, IT, or technology industry.
• Proven experience documenting networking hardware products, including switches, routers, access points, gateways, controllers, or similar infrastructure equipment. Familiarity with hardware specifications, physical installation procedures, and platform lifecycle documentation is required.
• Proven ability to write for technical audiences, such as network engineers, system administrators, and software developers.
• Strong understanding of Docs-as-Code principles; proficiency writing in Markdown.
• Experience with documentation authoring tools (for example, Oxygen XML Author, MadCap Flare, or similar).
• Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker for structured and long-form technical document authoring and production.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign for creating polished, layout-intensive documentation such as quick start guides, and print-ready hardware documentation.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator for editing, annotating, and optimizing product images, hardware photographs, screenshots, and technical illustrations for use in documentation.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop is a nice to have but not required.
