What you'll do

  • Investigate and analyze balance sheet discrepancies identified through ARA Balance Validation processes, categorizing root causes and assessing associated risks.
  • Maintain the integrity of ARA by reviewing, validating, and updating ledger-to-bank account mappings to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Analyze reconciliation structures and ledger relationships to confirm appropriate balance sheet representation and automated reconciliation coverage.
  • Partner with Operations, Account Owners, Finance, and other stakeholders to validate bank account treatments and ensure alignment between bank accounts, ledger representation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Manage and resolve exceptions associated with bank accounts missing from Abacus and other designated golden source repositories.
  • Perform data analysis to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and data quality issues, recommending sustainable remediation solutions.
  • Escalate material control issues, risks, and unresolved exceptions in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Support transformation initiatives through requirements gathering, process design, business analysis, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with Technology partners to define business requirements, validate system enhancements, and monitor successful implementation into production.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the ARA operating model by identifying opportunities to improve automation, controls, governance, and operational efficiency.

Who can apply

  • 2-4 years of experience in Reconciliations, Finance, Operations, Balance Sheet Substantiation, or a related function within Financial Services.
  • Working knowledge of ledger-to-bank reconciliations, balance sheet controls, and account mapping concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality results in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Technology to drive solutions and process improvements.
  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to control excellence.
