Skills you'll use

What you'll do

• Design, develop, maintain, and support scalable Java applications for ETF and investment management business processes.
• Translate ETF business requirements into technical solutions, detailed designs, development tasks, and testable acceptance outcomes.
• Develop and support applications related to ETF creation and redemption, fund accounting, NAV calculations, portfolio management, trading operations, portfolio analytics, and regulatory reporting.
• Build, consume, and support RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JSON, and approved integration patterns.
• Integrate applications with market data sources, trading platforms, portfolio management systems, and other financial systems.
• Design and implement reliable data and messaging flows using Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, or comparable technologies.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, performance optimization, code reviews, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, coding standards, secure development practices, and maintainable engineering approaches.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, identify root causes, communicate impacts, and implement timely and sustainable fixes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, analysts, architects, testers, operations teams, and other technical contributors in Agile delivery environments.

Who can apply

• Java: 5+ years of hands-on development experience using Java; practical experience with Java 8, 11, or 17.
• Spring Boot and Spring MVC: Experience developing enterprise applications, REST services, and microservices.
• REST APIs and JSON: Experience designing, developing, consuming, testing, and supporting RESTful APIs and JSON-based integrations.
• Microservices: Experience designing or developing microservices-based applications and service integrations.
• SQL and Relational Databases: Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent relational databases.
• Messaging Technologies: Experience with Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.
• Git: Experience with source control, branching, merging, and code collaboration practices.
• Maven: Experience managing Java builds, dependencies, packaging, and project configuration.
• Jenkins and CI/CD Pipelines: Experience supporting automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Development and Testing Tools: Experience using tools for debugging, unit testing, integration testing, defect tracking, code reviews, and technical documentation.
