What you'll do

• Design, build, and enhance React-based web experiences for loyalty use cases such as messaging, coupons, and earn/burn displays, ensuring high-quality, performant, and accessible UIs for travelers.
• Develop, consume, and integrate Java and Spring Boot APIs to connect front-end applications with backend loyalty platform services, including work on checkout flows and gift card experiences.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into scalable UI components, API contracts, and data models, contributing to both low-level system design and API design.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features across the stack (approximately 70% front end, 30% back end), including coding, code reviews, testing, debugging, and incremental rollout of customer-facing loyalty experiences.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including AI-driven smart incentives, banners, and traveler messaging across key surfaces such as home page, SRP, and PDP.
• Help elevate the broader team’s front-end and full-stack capabilities by sharing best practices, pairing with engineers, and contributing reusable patterns that can be applied across multiple loyalty experience domains.

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Professional software development experience building web applications, including production experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience developing and integrating Java-based APIs using frameworks such as Spring Boot, with the ability to understand API contracts and contribute to service, API, and data model design.
• Proven ability to deliver features end to end across the stack in a full-time engineering role, owning front-end implementation while contributing to backend/API integration and quality.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, particularly in the context of personalized customer experiences or incentives.
