Pune's employment clusters, ranked by live vacancies
Pune hires across two very different geographies: the software corridor running west from Shivajinagar through Baner and Hinjewadi, and the manufacturing belt running north through Pimpri-Chinchwad to Chakan and Ranjangaon. Pick the cluster that matches your commute before you pick the role.
Hinjewadi Phase 1
Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Phase 1
8,795
vacancies
Phase 1 of Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park — the oldest and densest stretch of Hinjewadi. Tata Technologies' headquarters, Unisys India, Cognizant's Plot 26 campus and the Qubix / Blue Ridge business parks sit within a two-kilometre walk of each other.
Pune Metro Line 3 (Hinjawadi–Shivajinagar) runs along the Hinjewadi–Wakad road; PMPML feeders from Wakad chowk.
Pune's banking-and-capital-markets belt. Barclays runs its largest global technology hub out of EON Free Zone, UBS/CSSI and Northern Trust sit in the same SEZ, and the World Trade Center tower adds card networks and consulting. Expect BFSI technology, risk and analytics roles.
Metro Line 2 (Vanaz–Ramwadi) ends at Ramwadi, 4 km away; Kharadi bypass connects to the airport in 20 min.
Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Phase 3 (MIDC-SEZ, Maan)
5,467
vacancies
Phase 3 holds the newest and largest SEZ campuses: TCS Sahyadri Park, Tech Mahindra's Pune campus and KPIT's global headquarters at Plot 17. Fresher intake here is the highest in Pune because the service majors run their training centres on site.
Metro Line 3 terminus at Hinjawadi Phase 3 (Maan); dedicated employer shuttles from Wakad & Chinchwad.
Pune's product-and-SaaS corridor. Cummins India's office campus sits in Balewadi; Veritas, Finastra, Entrust and a long list of funded startups (OneCard, Fibe, Druva) occupy Amar Tech Park, Westport and the Balewadi High Street towers.
Mumbai–Bengaluru bypass; Metro Line 3 at Balewadi Stadium / Baner.
Phase 2 is campus country — Infosys Pune (Plot 1) and Wipro Pune sit on adjoining plots, with the Emerson Innovation Centre alongside. Single-tenant campuses, so hiring here is dominated by a handful of very large employers.
Metro Line 3 stations at Hinjawadi Phase 2 & Phase 1; Mumbai–Pune Expressway entry at Kiwale.
Riverfront offices five minutes from the airport road. Deutsche Bank's Pune technology centre anchors the cluster; Thoughtworks and several GCCs occupy Sky Loft and the Commerzone towers.
Metro Line 2 at Bund Garden / Yerawada; 10 min to Pune airport.
The old-money business address. Persistent Systems is headquartered at Bhageerath on Senapati Bapat Road, with ICC Trade Tower opposite housing consulting, legal and analytics teams. Central, so commutes are short from anywhere on the west side.
Metro Line 3 along SB Road; Metro Line 1 at Shivajinagar, 2 km away.
The industrial heart of the district. Tata Motors' Pimpri plant, Bajaj Auto at Akurdi and Forbes Marshall at Kasarwadi hire mechanical, production, quality and embedded engineers — plus Yardi Systems for software.
Metro Line 1 (PCMC–Swargate) runs the length of the old Mumbai–Pune highway.
A walk-to-work township: Cybercity Magarpatta houses Eaton's India Innovation Center, John Deere's technology centre, Amdocs and FIS, while Honeywell's automation campus sits in the older Hadapsar Industrial Estate next door.
Metro Line 2 extension towards Hadapsar; heavy PMPML frequency on the Solapur road corridor.
India's automotive assembly belt — Mercedes-Benz India, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, Mahindra and Bajaj Auto all build here, surrounded by tier-1 suppliers. Roles are production, quality, supply chain and vehicle software.
Pune–Nashik highway; employer buses from Bhosari, Moshi & Chinchwad.
Capgemini's Talawade campus is the anchor of this MIDC IT park on the northern edge of PCMC — large delivery-centre floors, and one of the biggest single-employer fresher intakes in the district.
Dehu Road–Talawade corridor; company buses from Nigdi, Chinchwad & Wakad.
The SEZ campus at the eastern edge of Hadapsar, built around large delivery centres — heavy on IT services, BPM and back-office technology hiring rather than product engineering.
Pune–Solapur highway; employer buses from Hadapsar, Kondhwa & Camp.
Weikfield IT Citi Infopark · Marvel Edge · Bajaj Finserv
1,087
vacancies
Airport-side offices along Nagar Road. Bajaj Finserv's Pune office and Quick Heal's headquarters at Marvel Edge sit here, alongside Weikfield IT Citi Infopark — fintech, cybersecurity and NBFC technology roles dominate.
Metro Line 2 terminus at Ramwadi; 5 min to Pune airport.
Cybage's own campus and the Cerebrum IT Park towers make this Pune's most compact tech pocket — BMC Software and PayPal India sit in Cerebrum, a short walk from Koregaon Park.
Metro Line 2 at Kalyani Nagar; walkable to Koregaon Park & Nagar Road.
A dense small-and-mid manufacturing estate — components, tooling, electronics and process engineering. The listings here skew towards diploma and B.E. mechanical/electrical freshers rather than software.
Metro Line 1 at Bhosari/Nashik Phata; Pune–Nashik highway.
Pune's original central business district. Thermax is headquartered at Thermax House on the Mumbai–Pune road, and the Bund Garden Road stretch carries banking branches, consulting firms and engineering head offices.
Metro Line 1 & 2 interchange at Shivajinagar — the best-connected office cluster in the city.
The residential-and-mid-office belt feeding Hinjewadi. Smaller IT services firms, GCC satellite offices and engineering consultancies take space here because rents are a third of Phase 1.
Metro Line 3 along the Hinjewadi–Wakad road; Mumbai–Pune Expressway at Kiwale.
Large-format manufacturing 50 km east of the city — white goods, electronics and automotive assembly. Long commute, but the plants run structured graduate-engineer-trainee intakes every year.
Pune–Ahmednagar highway (NH-753F); plant buses from Wagholi, Kharadi & Shikrapur.
Zoomed out, each pill is a cluster — Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Magarpatta — with every vacancy inside it added up. Zoom past street level and the cluster splits into individual campuses, so you can see that Phase 2 is two enormous employers while Baner is thirty small ones.
Campus-level vs area-level pins
A pin marked campus sits on the actual office park — TCS Sahyadri Park, EON Free Zone, Cybercity Magarpatta. A pin marked area means we know the micro-market but not the building, so it floats near the cluster centre. The card always tells you which one you are looking at.
Two ways to apply
Every card links to the employer's official career page for direct applications, and to the live openings we have indexed for that company in Pune. Use the career page for campus drives and the indexed list when you want to filter by stipend, duration or category.
Questions about the Pune job map
Which areas of Pune does the map cover?+
All three Hinjewadi phases of Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Kharadi (EON IT Park, EON Free Zone, WTC), Magarpatta and Hadapsar, SP Infocity Phursungi, Yerawada and Business Bay, Kalyani Nagar, Viman Nagar and Nagar Road, Baner and Balewadi, Aundh and Senapati Bapat Road, Shivajinagar, Wakad, Talawade MIDC, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Akurdi, Bhosari MIDC, Chakan MIDC and Ranjangaon MIDC.
Are the vacancy numbers on the pins live?+
They come from the listings indexed on MyInternships.in and are recomputed every few hours, so a pin reflects what is genuinely open rather than a historical total. A company only gets a pin when it has at least one live Pune listing — that is why the map is quieter than a directory of Pune offices would be.
How accurate are the building locations?+
Campus-level pins are placed on the named office park from the employer's public address and are accurate to roughly 150 metres — TCS Sahyadri Park, Infosys Plot 1 in Phase 2, EON Free Zone in Kharadi, Cybercity Magarpatta. Where only the micro-market is known, the pin is marked area-level and floats near the cluster centre instead of pretending to be a specific building.
Why do some companies have no pin at all?+
A few large employers advertise Pune roles without a Pune campus we can place — remote-first teams, satellite sales offices or roles managed from another city. Those appear in the card grid marked "city-wide" so you can still see the vacancy count and apply, but they are not dropped onto a building they do not occupy.
What does "package starting from" mean on a card?+
It is the lowest disclosed pay across that employer's live Pune listings, shown as a monthly figure for internships and annualised for full-time roles. Listings with no disclosed pay are excluded from the range instead of being counted as zero, and the card also shows the top of the band so you can see the spread.
Does the map work on a phone?+
Yes. On small screens the map and the card grid swap with a single toggle, pins respond to tap instead of hover, and the 3D tilt can be switched off if the buildings get in the way. It needs a WebGL-capable browser, which every current mobile browser is.
Which is the biggest hiring cluster in Pune?+
Hinjewadi as a whole — the three phases of Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park together hold more live vacancies than any other part of the city, because the IT service majors run both delivery centres and fresher training campuses there. Kharadi leads on banking and capital-markets technology, Magarpatta on industrial and product engineering, and Chakan on automotive manufacturing.
