At nVent, we believe safer systems ensure a more secure world. We connect and protect our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Our solutions are helping build a more sustainable and electrified world. We are a $3.9 B company with a dedicated team of more than 12,000 employees around the globe. Our comprehensive portfolio of systems protection and electrical connections solutions dates back more than 100 years. We are building a more sustainable and electrified world. Our industry-leading solutions support data centers, industrial automation, commercial buildings, power utilities, renewable energy, infrastructure and energy storage applications around the globe. We offer: Our solutions add resiliency to critical systems by helping keep them safe from natural and human-made disruptions. Our solutions reduce labor cost in design and installation, improve utilization and reduce total cost of ownership. Our solutions extend the lifespan of our customers’ systems, reducing waste and lowering costs. Our solutions improve end-user safety and help our customers enhance the safety of their operations. We support customers’ sustainability goals by developing environmentally friendly products and solutions. For more than a century, nVent brands have been connecting and protecting the world with inventive electrical solutions. We trace our roots back to the 1894 founding of the Incandescent Lighting and Stove Company (ILSCO), a manufacturer of gas lighting systems. In 1903, the Electric Railway Improvement Company (ERICO) was formed to manufacture power bonds, signal bonds and related welding equipment. At the time, electricity wasn’t widely available in homes and businesses, but it was improving how people lived. As electricity progressed throughout the twentieth century, more of our innovative solutions emerged to connect and protect new systems. In 1945, the HOFFMAN automatic press guard was introduced to stop machinery when workers’ hands got too close. Today electricity continues to change the world, as its infrastructure becomes more electric, driven by technology and the need for more sustainable solutions. Just as our brands more than a century ago, we will continue to connect and protect our customers with inventive electrical solutions. At nVent, we are building a more sustainable and electrified world.

Key Topics

  • Data Structures & Algorithms150q
  • System Design50q
  • Object-Oriented Design40q
  • SQL & Databases25q
  • CS Fundamentals (OS, Networking)25q

Expert Tips

  • Practice LeetCode easy and medium problems before the OA — focus on arrays, strings, trees, and graphs.
  • For system design, use the RESHADED framework: Requirements, Estimation, Storage, High-level design, APIs, Detailed design, Evaluation.
  • Prepare 3–4 STAR stories covering: a challenge you solved, a time you worked in a team, a project you owned end-to-end.
  • After every coding solution, proactively state the time and space complexity — interviewers expect it.
  • Study common CS fundamentals: process vs thread, TCP vs UDP, REST vs GraphQL, SQL indexing, CAP theorem.
