SaaS / Sales Compensation · India
Forma.ai builds a platform that changes how sales compensation is designed, managed and optimised. Sales commission sounds like a narrow problem until you see the scale: the company handles billions in annual managed commissions, across plan structures that differ by role, region, product and quarter, and that change constantly. Getting it wrong means paying the wrong people the wrong amounts and destroying trust in the sales organisation, so accuracy is non-negotiable and the data problems are genuinely hard. Its customers include OpenTable, Stryker and Autodesk. The platform combines a data model flexible enough to express almost any commission plan with analytics that let leaders test plan changes before rolling them out. Forma.ai runs a Pune office alongside its Toronto headquarters, and the India team works on core product, analytics engineering and customer operations rather than back-office tasks. For an intern, the attraction is working with messy, high-volume, high-stakes data from customers across many industries — the kind of problem where clean modelling and careful validation visibly matter — inside a company where a compensation error is immediately noticed.
