What you'll do

• As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join Visa’s 2027 Summer Internship Program and gain real-world experience working with one of the world’s most recognized technology brands. This is a 10 to 12 week internship designed for students who want to solve meaningful problems, learn fast and build with impact.

Who can apply

• Core Requirements
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, GoLang, JavaScript or HTML.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, data structures, algorithms and software design concepts.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Knowledge of user interface design for web-based applications.
• Ability to understand customer problems, think from a user perspective and convert business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud-native application development concepts and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Exposure to AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cline or similar coding assistants.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation and agentic AI concepts.
• Good communication skills and a strong desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.
