- Graduate Apprentice: BE / B.Tech in the notified engineering discipline.
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: three-year diploma in the notified engineering discipline.
- Trade Apprentice: ITI (NCVT / SCVT) in the notified trade.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training elsewhere are not eligible.
